FREE DANCE FOR HOPE EVENT THIS SATURDAY

Written by on March 24, 2026

All members of our community are invited to attend this FREE event and help promote suicide prevention, education and hope in our community. The La Crosse Area Suicide Prevention Initiative‘s 16th Annual Dance For Hope is Saturday, March 28th from noon- 4:30 at UWL’s Student Union.

Tim Blumentritt is the Director of La Crosse Operations at Tellurian Behavioral Health, and though he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight for it, this event is kind of his baby. He joined Ballzer to talk about why this event is important, fun, and what to expect:

The day is designed to raise awareness to suicide prevention and community resources through art and dance. The event will include performances from local dance groups, food available for purchase, a raffle with exciting door prizes, and information booths from local resources.

Donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will go directly to the La Crosse Area Suicide Prevention Initiative to strengthen their efforts to reach members of our community as they educate, offer hope and strive to save lives! You can also donate on their website if you’re able HERE.

RSVP on Facebook here.
