MARCH TO THE CROSS – FREEDOM HONOR FLIGHT FUNDRAISER

Written by on March 24, 2026

Every lap tells a story. Every step honors a hero.

March to the Cross is a community fundraising challenge April 18th, 2026, hosted by the Holmen Knights of Columbus. It was created to honor our local veterans and raise funds for Freedom Honor Flight, an incredible organization that is currently low on funds.

Brian Clements, Event Organizer and Holmen Knights of Columbus Grand Knight, joined Ballzer to talk about their organization, how they’re honoring Veterans at the event, and how the community can support:

ALL FUNDS RAISED GO TO FREEDOM HONOR FLIGHT

Freedom Honor Flight provides veterans with the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. at no cost to them, so they can visit the memorials built in their honor. For many veterans, this trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and one they truly deserve.  Right now, the waiting list to fly out of La Crosse has about 650 veterans — mostly from the Vietnam era.
