Melanie is a junior at Slinger High School, while Claire is in 8th grade at Slinger Middle School.  Although outside of our immediate area, these girls are here for the summer and have a lot of family in the area.
Melanie and Claire are competitive figure skaters at the Kettle Morraine Figure Skating Club.  Both are skating and testing in the United States Figure Skating Association track (the same testing track the Olympic skaters must complete). Both girls are testing in and advancing quickly through the moves category.  Claire is also doing tests in ice dance.

Melanie and Claire have also been involved in their local 4H for the past 5 years, both winning numerous awards; Melanie for photography & baking and Claire for knitting & basketry.  They are also both very good students, Melanie with a 3.7 GPA and Claire with a 4.0 GPA, and are involved in school activities as well.
Melanie is a varsity cheerleader for the Slinger Owls and is involved in Varsity Track & Field. Claire is involved in Track & Field, Volleyball, and Forensics for the middle school. She also performs in the choir and band, where she plays trumpet and french horn.

Being sisters, there is competition, but they also push each other to be the best they can be. They both deserve to be chosen together because without each other, they wouldn’t be where they are today.
