FLORIDA CLASS PRESIDENT GIVES GRAD SPEECH ON THE STRUGGLE OF HAVING “CURLY HAIR”

Written by on May 24, 2022

A few months ago, senior class president Zander Moricz of Pine View School in Osprey, Florida, made public that the administration that if he made mention of his social activism or being the youngest plaintiff in a “Don’t Say Gay” lawsuit, he would have his microphone cut off during his graduation speech.

Ultimately, Zander, who is openly gay, decided to change the wording in his speech explaining the difficulty of having “curly hair” while living in the state of Florida. He’s quoted by USA Today:

“There are going to be so many kids with curly hair who need a community like Pine View, and they won’t have one,” Moricz said in his speech. “Instead, they’ll try to fix themselves so that they can exist in Florida’s humid climate.”

Watch Zander’s incredibly powerful speech below.
