For the first time in franchise history, the Green Bay Packers have hired a female as an athletic trainer on a full time basis.

Erin Roberge is a UW-Madison graduate and has been the last few seasons as an intern with the team. From the head of the trainer department, Bryan Engel:

“Through the internship experiences over the last few years, it became apparent to us that Erin would be a great addition to our staff. She shares a passion for the athletic-training profession and is dedicated to providing our players with the highest quality health care in the NFL.”

After graduating from UW, Erin then went on to study at Pennsylvania Western University where she focused on performance and injury prevention.
