LA CROSSE MAN CELEBRATES 10 YEARS IN LOCAL RADIO

“I really don’t know how they’ve let me do this for as long as they have”

February 14th is already a special day on the calendar, but for Jesse, afternoon host on Z93, it’s certainly a day that stands out.

Back in 2013, Jesse got his start hosting the night show on Z93 and always had a love for not only music, but Top 40 radio, too.

“When I was a kid, I’d listen to the radio constantly. When you were grounded to your room as much as I was, there wasn’t much to do besides that.”

So, what are some things that stand out in the ten years since he’s been with “Z”?

“There’s just way too many things to mention. Experiencing Oktoberfest for the first time. Dressing up in an Easter Bunny costume and walking around downtown while helping out the Morning Buzz. Hosting bus trips to Lambeau. But mostly it’s running into listeners while out and about. That’s still what’s so cool about this job.”

Is there anything he’d change?

“I mean, of course. But overall, my time here as been special and the good will always outweigh the bad.”

(Ok. Enough patting myself on the back. I just want to say if you’ve listened to my show on purpose, in passing, or maybe you can’t stand me and hang around for the music, whatever. I just want to say thank you for listening. 10 years?! How the heck did that happen?!?)
